photographer & visual artist Henning Sjøstrøm
As I grew up I remember how I would spend a lot of my time drawing and painting, but I eventually ended up following an academic career and became a teacher. I felt that something was missing, and therefore I took up photography and created several exhibitions.
Although I am autodidact, I started to work professionally with photography in 1997. It quickly became apparent that my interest and talent was within taking pictures of theatre, performance and especially dance.
Having contributed my dance photos since 2001 to a Danish magazine covering ballet, contemporary and urban dance I from 2008 to 2010 I was a member of the editorial staff.
